Miðbakki wharf at Reykjavík harbour
About: Yrki architects´ proposal for the urban development on Miðbakki wharf at the old harbour in Reykjavík. The client´s intention is to build a hotel with 150 rooms and high-class service apartments courtesy of The Four Seasons as well as apartmets and commercial units on 33.500m². The proposal is at concept stage and will see further development in collaboration with the city of Reykjavík and Associated Icelandic Ports. When and if realized, the Miðbakki wharf will come alive with shops, cafés, restaurants, a hotel and apartments, well integrated in the city centre of Reykjavík.
