AN ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION IN NORTHERN ICELAND
About: Yrki architects design of the outer shell of an electrical substation for the electricity network supplier Landsnet. The substation is located in the desert of Hólasandur, between lake Mývatn and the valley of Laxárdalur in northern Iceland. The facade is made of precast fair-faced concrete units with a decisive vertical pattern.
