Office and residential buildings at Borgartún
About: In 2015 the city of Reykjavík hosted an invited competition for the further development and urban planning of the areal between the streets of Borgartún, Nóatún, Samtún and Katrínartún. The emphasis was on a solution that takes into account the increased urban density east of the areal as well as the smaller scale of the residential district north of it. Yrki architects were granted the 1st prize and have concluded the further urban planning of the areal.
